My guiding philosophy is to give a great outdoors hunting experience from start to finish. I will show you new things and sights that you would not see without a guide. I challenge my clients to push their boundaries, to help you to achieve more than you may have thought you were capable of. I enjoy getting to know people and developing a connection with my clients. This gives you the confidence to relax and enjoy your hunt.

I am a fully registered member of the New Zealand Professional Hunting Guides Association and a concession holder under the NZPHGA.

I hold a HUNTs course instructor qualification with the New Zealand Deerstalkers Association and am a certified Range officer.

I have previously held the position of Chairman of the New Zealand Tahr Foundation and am currently still a member of the NZTF committee.

What Makes Us Different?

We do free range fair chase spot and stalk hunts on foot

We hunt from a remote but comfortable hut right in the heart of tahr country

We access our area by 4wd and hunt from the huts each day on foot.

We do 1x 1 hunts, 2x 1 or up to 4 mates hunting together

When you book a hunt with Huntahr you hunt with me and I take care of everything.

We don't use a flash lodge, we don't use helicopters and we don't run multiple hunts at the same time.

The above factors allow us to run a lean operation. We can constantly provide a safe and successful hunting operation and deliver an experience which will exceed your expectations.
